male cherry barb gone wild!
my male cherry barb is, and always has been, a loner. he mostly keeps to himself, he has three favorite spots in the tank that he usually hangs out in. sometimes he chases the wife (female cherry barb), but mostly he just hangs out...alone. he seems happy. today, however, he went nuts! he was pacing the tank, going up and down one of the sides, over and over again, like he was "fighting" an invisible enemy. after an hour, he stopped, and now he is his normal calm self. what the ?!?@?# happened? did he catch a glance at his reflection and think it was another male?

I notice the cherry barbs are prone to this. When I do my water changes, I notice them doing this much more frequently. I think it's kinda like cats where they switch on into tweak mode. :P
