Oscar and Pleco Compatability?
Hey everyone, I was thinking of getting a pleco to go in my 55 gallon tank with my 6 inch oscar. I'm a little nevous about doing that because Ozzy is a ravenous carnivore, so I was wondering if I were to get a pleco, what is the minimum size it should be? Thanks!

I would get one no less then 6in. When I had my 2 oscars in my 90 gallon, I also had to large plecos but they were added before the oscars so be prepared to remove the pleco if your oscar attacks.Make sure you move the decor around right before you add the pleco and also try to have a cave for the pleco to retreat in the day
I have kept Common Plecos with oscars. My oscars were very aggressive and they paid no attention to the pleco. I wouldn't start with a pleco that was less than 6-7"
