Carpet anenome problem!! A friend of mine was moving and had a carpet anenome that was doing well in his tank for a few months. He was afraid that it would die if put through the long car ride. So I took the anenome from him and drip acclimated it to my reef tank for 2 hours. This was 2 days ago. it seemed to be fine for the first 2 days. It was eating and not regurgitating at night as i know they do ever so often, so i kept a really close eye on it. this morning it seemed fine as well untill a few hours ago it shrank up and a bit of its stomach is turned out. So onto my question... Anyone have any advice as to how i can revive it? its been eating chopped pieces of fresh scallops and PE mysis shrimp. All the water parameters are exactly where they should be. So i am lost as to what i can do to save it. |
I have a green carpet anemone in my 110 litre FO aquarium for atleast 6 months now.The host is a Sebae Clown.Well in my case also the anemone shrinks, enlarges, takes out part of its stomach.............. I think it is normal for Carpet Anemones.Nothing to worry about........ |
I wouldnt worry about it. All Anemones do this. Its going to take time to get used to your tanks parameters. and lighting |
