Can i crossbreed these?
If i have a few platys, a few mollies, and a few guppies male and female of each can and will they crossbreed? i was just unsure and thought that would be really cool since they are all livebearing fish :P oh and does anyone have pictures of the turnouts? and will they fry be able to reproduce or will the be infertile like a liger?
Muppies are said to be infertile. Some believe their lifespan to be shorter though.
Endler's Livebearers and guppies also can crossbreed, but its said their offspring is fertile, yet have a shorter lifespan.
When mixing mollies and guppies, the M/F ratio should always be 1M:2-3F.
Platy can not crossbreed with these guys, however I believe they are able to crossbreed with swordtails.
Mollies & guppies - yes
Mollies & platies - no
Guppies & platies - no
But like has already been said, platies can breed with swordtails
