Can my Fish survive in these conditions for 2-3 more weeks? Hi All, I have a heavily overstocked 10G tank, with 2 fancies and 2 guppies, and some plants (hornworth and Java Fern). I do daily (or every second day) water changes ranging from 20 - 40% with the siphon. I have an aquaclear 20 (media is Sponge, biological, and fine filter), and another smaller filter with just fine filter in it. Also have two lucky bamboos sticking out, and pothos (only roots inside water). I will be getting a 75 Gallon Tank soon, in the next couple of weeks, and it wil be planted. My test results after a 30 - 40% water change are as follows: pH is 7.4 to 7.6 Amonia is .25 ppm Nitrite is .25 ppm Nitrate is 5 ppm (basically all are at second level, nothing at 0) Can my fish survive the next few weeks. How badly am i doing? |
I think you'll be fine for a few weeks if you keep up the water changes and monitor water quality. Nitrates are under control |
