Will Fry get eaten!?

Hello!
So I have 5 red wag tails that will, WILL have babies... they are still babies, but there's no stopping them from having fry of their own...
My question is... will any of my current fish eat the fry? I have plenty of hiding places for them!
2 Peppered Cory Cats
3 Guppies,blue and yellow
5 WagTails

Would love to know.. as I would not only like to raise live plants, but also know how to be a good fish breeder. :-)

Yep, fish fry is food. Perhaps not for the guppies, but most other adult fish will go after fry, including mom and dad! Now the fry instinctively dart quickly and hide and can avoid being lunch for awhile, but you'll need a breeder net or another tank in order to raise them large enough to no longer be food.

hi.
the more hiding places you have the better rate of survival you
will have,or as above,a breeder net,and i would even provide some sort of
cover for them so the don't feel exposed.

Good one Willow!! If you are not into breeding to sell or trade or whatever and just to keep up your stock you can do it deepening on the size of the tank and of course hiding places .. You will be surprised how many fry you can raise . Nature is good.

:) Gonna have to find sactuary for fry.

Ah!
Thank you. These adolescent fish I have now are the little ones from my mom's fish tank.. and soon will be of age to be having their own.. so I figured I'd get some info on raising fry. Thank you!
I have A LOT of plants in my 10 gallon, not to mention a few formations that they can hide in or around. Was curious if the adult fish I currently have would go the extra mile to consume them... I have read somewhere that Red Wagtails LOVE to eat.. so it wouldnt surprise me if they would eat their young.

if you leave fry in with fish bigger than them, they will get eaten,
most of us never step in when we have fry,as it's the circle of live, and often stopes us getting
over run with fry.
