my convict

ok i have a male and a female convict, when i got them they looked normal grayish with black strips and the female and the orange on the bottom but lately my female has blue around the gills and yellow on the tail, is this normal or is she sick?

Nothing wrong with that to me. Any pics? I doubt she is sick. Do you see anything unusual in her behavior such as lack of appetite?

i had a female convict and she was quita able to take on a blueish color, especially before she laid eggs.

Very likely. Cons breed like rabbits and this makes them one of the most prolific in the cichlid category.

ok thanks guys

Situation a-ok. This is one of the normal color morphs of the convict.

I used to notice more orange in the bellies of the females before they spawned.
