I found this plant in my mother's pond in her garden and thought it looked really nice I want it in my tank.
One problem, I have no idea what it is, anyone seen this before?
If you do know, could you tell me it's requirements etc. I doubt it has many because the pond is fairly disused and over grown :)

Pond plants typically are cold-water plants, where tanks are 'tropical' and need warmer water. Also, some pond plants need a rest period and will waste away.

Are there fish in the pond? If so, you get to worry about parasites and such too.

On the plus side, I think the plant looks like some variety of ludwigea... Could be wrong though.
(Ludwigea is used in tanks, since it survives warm and cold water.)

I have a cold water tank

I also think that is probably Ludwigia.
