setting up eheim 2217

Well I took the plunge and bought an eheim 2217 for my 75 gal community tank. Currently have an emperor 400 and will leave it running for the time being.

I recall a thread, thought it was on this forum, with a nice step by step instruction on setting up an eheim classic. Can't find it now. So...can someone direct me to a good resource for guidance setting this thing up? Looked a little on YouTube too but didn't find much useful. Gotta think I'm missing something.

Thanks.

It's pretty straightforward, but I think this is the information you are referring to:
Eheim Classic Canister Cleaning Instructions
Hope this link helps.

You may be over-analyzing it. My 2215 came with all the media and I just followed the instructions, not a problem. Of course, I'm one of the oddballs who reads instructions from start to finish before starting anything! I didn't cut my inflow/outflow hoses even since I wanted the canister at one end of my stand.
Good luck - I've enjoyed my Eheim.

I think these instructions are linked from another post on this site, I remember seeing it also, but could not find it!

Thanks! This isn't the one I remember, but I think it is even better. I have not yet sat down and read the instructions, I will, but have heard enough feedback about them that my expectations are low. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Either way, you have set me up with another (great) perspective if I need it!
