clown loach mateing
for the last few days my 2 bigest clown loach ( about 4 inchs ) have been makin werd noises in the tank. so last night i looked to see wat the hell it was found out it was them, and they seem to be mayb mateing. they get real close then start wiggleing, is this a sign of breeding or wat. dont know wat the breeding process is for them, if they are should i take them out of that tank and put them in a breeding tank or something.

What size are these loaches? They do not get sexually matured until they reach 10 inches or more. Clowns rarely breed in captivity unless induced with hormones, however, there are a few records available that the clown loaches did breed without the help of hormones but this is very rare and will take a long time to accomplish.
Yours are most likely clashing for dominance.
CL's dont need to be 10" to breed. Around 7-8 years old is what ive been told from a breeder. I think 4" is much to small for CL breeding.
