Neat little fish. Very tempermental when it comes to water comditions. Water MUST be CLEAN. Water changes and good, if not great filtration is a must. Temperature parameters must be met, also.
Tankmates can include tetras, cories, rasboras, flying foxes, and discus. Any cichlid that makes a living on the bottom will be fair game to the cacatuoides, especially at mating time.
