problem with getting plants shipped to house????
Okay I think I might have a little bit of a problem? I am getting my plants shipped to my house on wednesday through fedex. Which means the plants won't show up untill 6pm (fedex never deliver to my house b4 then) I will have to be work at 4 and I can't get off have already tryed that  Sooo my wife will be there to get them but my problem is she won't be able to plant them. Sooo how do they ship the plants? and how long can they sit in the package?? more then like I will have to work atleast 11hrs soo that atleast 8hrs they will sit there what can I have her do with them? any suggestions?
That won't be a problem. They should arrive moist in plastic bags so they'll be fine for that length of time.
You're going to share pictures afterwards - right :)
I'd ask your wife to kindly take the plants out of the bags and leave them floating in the tank for you - you can plant them properly when you're home and they will be in better condition if they're in water and recieving nutrients and light
You will want to quarantine them before they go into your tank. Put some tank water into a bucket and have wife put them in the bucket or float in a quarantine tank if you have one. Anything can hitchhike on plants. I always inspect them and quarantine BEFORE I will add them into where my fish are. Wife can just float them in the bucket and you can take care of them from there.
Okay thanks everyone and yes am going to share pics when I get it planted

I would just leave them in the bags.
Some delicate plants don't take kindly to being unwrapped too quickly/too rough, and at the same time, some can die if they get too dry.
You should handle it. :)
I have the best of both worlds!!! Throw them in the bucket while still in the plastic, no damage and you know they will be wet then.
