Using polypropylene bristles

I bought a whole bunch of Lace rock for my aquarium today and its covered with Lichen. So i'm soaking
it in hot water over night and wanted to use some type of strong brush to scrub it off. I wouldn't run into any problems using a polypropylene bristle brush right?

I wouldn't think so, but, with aquariums you could never be too sure?

I don't see any reason the brush should cause a problem.
