hi i just inherited this snail with a tank i just bought ,i believe it to be a apple snail after looking at pics on the net but i could be wrong.it also seems there were two as there is a empty snail shell aswell ass lots of babies..please help me name him/her thanx

its a zebra nerite snail. they are only supposed to be able to breed in brackish water.

How big are they? The only thing that does not fit the nerite ID is babies. They could also be pond snail but I have seen striped ones like that.

the babies are tiny ,to small to see what they are really ,but they seem to be a light brown and a different shape from the adult 1..more pointed and twisty ,but cant be sure as they are minute .the adult is 1and half cm max...

I'm thinking the little ones are pond snails and the big one is a nerite.

His other snails are Malaysian trumpet snails.
