Brine Shrimp eggs
I have purchased a think of brine shrimp eggs and planned to use the newly hatched brine shrimp to feed some guppy fry. many eggs hatched and whatever but at the bottom theres a bunch of eggs havent hatched... I noticed the fry are very happy eating the unhatched eggs...
will the fry get the same health benefits from the unhatched eggs as if they were hatched?
I have never had a problem with uneaten eggs!! Though some say they can cause intestinal problems. Here is a link hope it helps. www.ventralfins.com - Decapsulating Brine Shrimp Eggs Jack
I have heard that the eggs are fine to eat and my lfs says that it is okay to feed ram fry with just eggs
Underh20 has the answer.
decapsulated brineshrimp eggs are the best.
I have over 70 aquariums an breed many species of fish for wholesale and fish shops.
Cichlids need live shrimp for the first few weeks because they are predatory.
Unhatched shrimp eggs cannot be digested properly and can cause intestinal blockages in all fish.
Decap shrimp are cheap and100% usable plus they have better food value.
can one decap them his self
yes. theres a web link that someone posted that gives good info with decaping the eggs. From what i remember reading, it requires using a brine shrimp net and bleach
Okay will look into it
