Help with a goldfish...

I own 3 common goldfish...my idiot friend bought a fighting fish and put it in the tank...the fighting fish bit off part of my smallest goldfish's fin...:(

now it's swimming on it's side...I put it on a small container now...but i dont know if it's gonna make it...

is there nething i can do? :(

I'd suggest buying a proper tank for the goldfish. 30 gallons and possibly larger is better. Use Melafix to fix its tail and it should heal up. Keep a watch on your water parameters.

I have seen many types of fish recover beautifully from being fin nipped, so it is not an absolute that the little guy won't pull through. Do keep a very close eye on him to make sure he does not develop fin rot on top of his injury. The initial onset of fin rot may have a cottony appearance at the damage site.
