Dwarf puffers have a lot of special requirements. There is a profile of them on here under the tab "Tropical Fish Profiles". There is also a great site deticated to them that details a lot of their specialty care at dwarfpuffers.com.

These guys need to be in a species tank, and usually are hard to get to eat anything but live food. They also need small softer shelled snails to keep their beaks down. They are aggressive, and it is recommended that you have a very well planted tank if you wish to keep more than one, and should have at least 5 gallons per puffer. And you have to pay close attention to their water parameters and do regular water changes. They are very small, at just over an inch full grown, but they are full of personality.

As far as where to get them from...
If you have a local fish/aquarium store, see if they can order them for you. If not you can try aquabid.com or liveaquaria.com...or another online store that sells live fish. I am in Texas, and have had issues locating them myself, I am hoping that Spring time will make them more available.

Hope this helped some.

I am not sure what part of Minnesota you are in, but A Wet Pet in Apple Valley had some recently. It was the first time I have seen them.

If that fails try Forest Lake Pets. If they don't have them in currently, watch the website as they will normally list fish like that when they come in.
