Tetras shoaling I've read about having around 6+ Tetras for shoaling. Will different types of Tetras shoal together? i.e. Black Neon Tetras and regular Neon Tetras? Thanks |
In my experience, they stay together with their own groups although those with similar markings particularly serpaes, and red phantoms, and cardinals and neons tend to get together. All three species of rummy nose tetras also stay together regardless of their subtle differences. |

I agree with Lupin. And to add a little, sometimes you can even get completely different groups to swim together, yet not common...ocassionally my crazy serpae tetras (6) with swim with my brilliant rasboras (6). Its fun to watch. Also, my albino rainbow shark swims with all my cories! It is too funny!!! And in my smaller tank, my lone dalmation balloon molly swims with the 4 guppies, although not what you think of when you think of schooling fish, but they do. lol While I am here...Lupin...I have heard mixed views on ghost shrimp...I have heard they only get about 1 inch, and then someone told me they get much bigger and mean. Any insight? |

I figured to play it safe I would just get a couple more Neon's. The first ones joined right in with the new ones! It's pretty cool to see how nature works like that. |
Yo Kirk! I forgot I managed to find some good articles last night for ghosties. Check this out. http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/b...imp-not-63880/ |
