Breeding red ramshorns How would i go about doing this? I would like to feed some to my pea puffer :) |
If you have some in your tank and your tank is overfed you will have LOTS of Ramshorns. I had to overfeed my tank for awhile as I had fry I wanted to survive. The fry did survive but I also had an outbreak of Ramshorns it took me months to get rid of. Too bad I didn't know you when I had that issue. You could litterally have taken thousands of them from my tank. Your puffers would have puffed a little too much with all those to eat. :) |
Wow. i dont think i want that many haha. Theyre in my divided tank with my betta/puffer. the puffer only has 2.5gals until he gets another tank xD Ill just feed them more, and do more water changes to prevent an extreme ammonia spike. theres quite alot of algae on my plants, though, so they'll eat that aswell |
All you need is a few ramshorns and another tank. Set it up like any other aquarium but you definately want to keep them in hard water. Feed them and keep there water clean and they will multiply. Where do you live maybe I can send you some to get you started? |
I've actually got alot of ramshorns already, they just wont breed :D Thanks though. |
