Goodwill fed my addiction!!!

I went to goodwill today to look for some furniture and found a 5gl and a 11.5 gl with stand!!!! paid $20 they both have gravel and lights the 5gl even has a filter! yay yay! Thinking RCS in the 5 with blue gravel and green, purple and yellow decorations so they stand out. for the 11gl 1 male betta, 5 rummy nose tetra and 3 african dwarf frogs. This weekend is the big tank move and setup so Pics to come by the end of next week. I still don't know what to do with the 20gl I have.

How many bags of eco- complete and florite black sand do I need to get for all my tanks? 125 gl, 20 gl, 11 gl and 5 gl?

Actually in bright colored tanks like the colors you describe, you can barely make out the red of the RCS. Black sand/gravel and green plants brings out the most color.

awesome! I saw fish tanks a couple of times at my goodwills but never bought any of them. next time i see one though i am going to have to get it if its decent now that im seriously considering fish. ive been looking on craigs list a lot though.

Craigslist can be a dangerous place.... I have the app on my phone, and as soon as something new gets listed that I have searched for.... I get a beep.
So far I have gotten a2.5, 5, 20, 55 with stand, and 125 with stand from craigslist all for about $400

One day I bought a light fixture with 3 halides and 2 4' t8s with remote balasts and extra bulbs, 2 150gal rated Eheim canisters, an aquaclear 70 New in the box, a power head, some rocks and an auto feeder..... all for $210.

For some reason.... my wife checks to see if I have any cash before I leave the house on errands now :-?

lol i love having spare cash in my wallet that way hubby never knows when ive been to goodwill if its on the debit card then he knows, but i usually dont spend over $10 there at a time and thats on a GOOD day.

I do have about 20 tanks bookmarked from craigs list though, i emailed about half of them the other half i still have to email. im still not sure about what im going to do yet, id love to get a bigger tank but then again i kinda just want a smaller like 10 gallon and get a few fish just to start out. and maybe a 5gal for a betta.

Thank you I didn't think of that. All the other tanks with have either eco-complete or florite black sand.

I have another goodwill to check out in the next couple of weeks. I figure after the playroom/aquarium room is all set up I can sneak a new tank in. The hubby asked if he should be worried. I asked why and he said because he can see me cycling tanks in the laundry room and then one by one they appear fully stocked in each room lol. Next year though I am going to get a discus tank setup in our bedroom. !!!
