question on keeping mollie fry alive
i have a mollie that has just had fry and i was wondering if a method i thought of would be an acceptable way to keep tne fry alive. I have a small beta tank, no more than 2 pints, and i was wondering if i could atach the beta tank to the side of my 10 gallon tank ( inside the water) so that it will stay the correct temperature. i would put the top of it slightly higher than water level so that way no fry can get out and no fish could get in. water changes for the fry would be very convient and feeding/ cleaning easy.
i want to use this method because i do not want to puchase a sperate tank and heater.
i was wondering if this method would work well, if there are any problems/ suggestions.
thanks in advance for your input.
it would work, i do the same with a smallish plastic tub that i drilled small holes in the bottom and sides for water flow. It stays in my main tank so no heater or filter is required but i do use a air stone inside for the fry.
