south american puffers

Are big S.A. puffers slow and lathargic and sometimes look like they are going to go belly up in the corners of the tank?

They are in a 55 Gallon Long with about 12 small white cichlids who do not bother with them I think because the puffers are larger.

What species of puffer is it? And no that isnt normal behavior, its probally being abused by the cichilds in the tank. Also if it is one of the big freshwater species from SA your tank is much to small.

the larger freshwater puffers will take chunks out of everything ive watched a mbu in a shop crunch up a whole crayfish in about 5 mins they are a species only fish really unless provided with a very large tank so they can have water to themseves they are usally lethargic because nothings happening worth there attention
