Java Fern has hairy spiky things at top of leaf?

I recently put some Java Ferns in my brackish tank however one plant has some green nodule type things and these hairy spiky root looking type things growing at the tip of the leaf, what is this and should I cut the leaf and remove it from the tank?

Are you sure its not a baby java fern? They propigate by grownig new plants from the leaves. I have 4 growing right now at the top roots and all attached to teh top of the leaf.

It's a java fern plantlet. Wait until it has a few leaves, then detach it and put it somewhere else in the tank. Soon you will have java ferns everywhere. ;-)
