So who isn't buffering their soft water but has a healthy aquarium?

If you keep an aquarium that has a pH of 6.0 or less, please let me know about any problems you've had and what to watch out for. Any do's and don't's will be appreciated. Also, can you list your GH, KH etcetera?

My local tap water has a calcium hardness of 8.9, and a total hardness of 11.3. Does that mean that the GH is the result of subtracting the calcium hardness from the total hardness?
