I just set up my first 20 gallon aquarium this past week. I'm 26, female, former Peace Corps Volunteer, full-time scientist and part-time grad student - keeping fish seemed like a good option for pets b/c I am not home real often.
It looks like there are some very helpful people on this forum, I'm happy I joined!
Welcome! This forum has saved me a lot of time and $$. Very helpful folks here. If you travel long periods away, you may want to invest in an automatic feeder. Lots of brands out there, but always set it up and test before depending on them to work!
Welcome to the forum! We are glad you found us. :-D
Hey! I just joined last month and have found lots of info here. Many helpful, friendly people.
I just started a 20g about 1 month ago. Have a betta and 4 lemon tetra in it. I have kept my 10g to use as QT and currently have 3 lemon tetra and 5 panda corydoras in it. The cories will have to be in it a little longer as I don't think that my 20g is established long enough for them.
I did pick out my fish (other than my betta) from all of the information and fish profiles I found on this site. So far everyone seems to be doing well.
Hope you enjoy your fish.
Thanks for your service in the PEACE CORP. wecome to TFK !!!
hello and welcome. :-D
