can anyone tell me what this is growing off my plant? it only grows off that one plant. all my other plants dont have it.

Looks just like java fern. If it is, then i would say those are roots growing off it.. They are looking for something to root onto. They prefer driftwood. Mine thrive on it. It latches onto driftwood and rocks. I've seen people use fishing twine to anchor it to various things. That's just my opinion

I betcha it's a snail. The light reflecting makes them look shiny. They love the leaves of the java ferns.

Also, those java ferns aren't supposed to be planted all the way in the ground. The stem piece will rot of eventually. However, the plant is very hardy. Anchor it to some driftwood and watch the stem grow...it's pretty rapid in my setup.

It looks like a white mealy bug that you see on terrestial plants.
