biube pure , led lighting and plants?

just bought a small 35 litre biube for my grand-daughter to have a little aquarium of her own:-)

anyway, i was thinking about a few little easy to grow plants but wondered if they would be ok to grow under the led lighting that the tank has.

what do you reckon?

cheers,h.

i looked the java ferns before so will probably use them, i was also looking for a tall growing grass type plant?

also, any floating plants?

will these grow in gravel/lava rock or do they need to be planted as such?

also looked at moss balls, any thoughts?

:-D

Java Fern and Java Moss attach to objects, like wood, rock, decor. The rhizome of JF should not be buried or it can rot.

For tall plants in a small tank, probably Corkscrew Vallisneria is the best. It grows very well in basic water (as opposed to soft acidic water) which is probably what comes out of your tap. We have profiles, the shaded name means the plant is included so click on that to see info.

Floating plants can be as simple as some stem plants allowed to float. Brazilian Pennywort is ideal for this, but Cabomba also works. Ceratopteris cornuta is a beautiful and easy floating plant if you can find it.
