New night time tank lights, need feedback.

I like the blue, not fond of the red. I think the entire tank bathed in blue would look awesome, but that's just me.

Love the blue - red looks like a reptile tank. Where did you get that? Very nice!!

Just a little DIY project, cost me about 30$ total, and since I changed my lights both to blue.

I bought two reptile lamps, just basic metal hoods with the clamp for the tank, and bought two CFL's in blue at Home Depot. (they have red,blue,yellow,gre len) They came to 7$ each. I put the lamps on the back of the tank where the HOB filters go and tin foiled off half the lamp to keep the blue light from shining everywhere else and it seems to let a perfect amount of light in. Also since I've put the lights up my Yellow Tail Aceis are breeding, 1 mother kept her eggs and is now in a 10 gallon tank of her own, and another one didn't get fertilized to my knowledge and they were discarded.
