Maybe a Discus pair?

I have three wild discus, two heckels and one blue nhamunda discus. The nhamunda discus seem to peck one of the heckels way to much but the other one not as much. Now the nhamunda and the other heckel peck that same heckel a lot.. What are my chances these two are a pair?? all of these discus have been together for a month and a half.

Based on my experience, picking on one another means just that, picking on one another. You'll know a pair has formed when they decide to spawn. The precurser to spawning is when they start swimming very close together, start "shuddering" next to each other, side by side, and start "poking" at a spot. When my two different pairs decided to "hook up" together none of the other discus bothered them. It's as if they knew better to get in between the two different pairs.
