When to change water after adding fish

Up until now Ive never added more than 3 fish at a time and never had any problems. Just now I added 6 new fish to my planted 75, how long should I wait to do a water change? or should I just test every night to see if anything raises?

I would say do 20% daily for about a week

I disagree on the daily water changes--unless there is a problem. But in a "planted" 75g tank with only 6 fish being added, nothing should occur. Assuming they are not enormous fish, and "planted" means quite a few plants.

Weekly water changes should be basic. The volume depends upon the fish load, but it can vary from 25% to 60% every week. I do 50% weekly, but I have a lot of fish in my tanks, notwithstanding they are well planted.

Byron.

Oh no, nothing big just emperor tetras. Theres only 12 fish in there so its not heavily stocked by any means.
