Right now, in my 10 gallon tank, I have about 10 pounds of gravel. I'm currently cycling my fry tank and I wanted to help the bacteria grow by transferring some of my gravel into the tank. How long will it take (approximately) to cycle the tank if I add the gravel and use pure ammonia in the Add and Wait method?
Any advice on anything is greatly appreciated!!
What are you using for filtration? The fastest way would be to take some of the filter medium from your cycled 10 gallon and put it into the filter of your fry tank (if that's possible).
Otherwise, you could take some of the gravel from the 10 gallon, put it into the toe of some clean pantyhose (i would rinse in tankwater to be safe) and put that in your fry tank.
