I don't think I'm over stocked

I have 10 neon tetras,5 kuhlis, 2 three inch plecos, 2 rams, 4 guppies

Well what size thank do you have?

Calmwaters 01-31-2011 09:36 PM

I think your good if its your 38 gallon. I would not add more as your rams and guppys may multiply.

Christople 01-31-2011 09:43 PM

yes I only have a 38[trying to convince parents for another tank] and I only planed on adding 1 guppy but i guess not. I am trying to breed my fish but I never succeed

Calmwaters 01-31-2011 09:48 PM

Your plecos may be eating the eggs. I will be receiving German Blue Rams in the mail on Wednesday that I plan on breeding so I have been doing a lot of reading about breeding and one of the things I have read/been told is that any kind of catfish including plecos will eat the eggs while the parents are asleep at night. I also read it is good to feed newly hatched brine shrimp but I am going to try frozen food first like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and others.
