I have a ten gallon freshwater setup that has two incadecent bulbs,these bulbs do not light well and give water a yellow tint,i purchased new florecent household bulbs that are 13watts each,they plug right in and the fixtures are rubber sealed however will damage be caused because they are not aqruim bulbs?my airstones send a mist uparound the light area,and is this an ok watt rating for this tank,thanks in advance

I'm assuming you are talking about the screw in spiral CFL bulbs that you get for your house, if so these should be fine, but should be protected against the water, each one of these has electrical components in them that will slowly die as they get wet, plus any metal in the fixture will slowly corrode being exposed to the water, do your self a favor and buy a glass hood. Beyond keeping water out of your fixture it will also control evaporation really well.
