Sick guppie with a stomach problem?
Last night when I checked on my [info]guppie [/info]his stomach looked bloated and his poop was coming out of his side, not his underneath. Does anyone know what this is and should I be worried for my other fish? He doesn't look too good and the bulge on his side has got bigger. http://www.fishforum.com/userpix/168...10_small_1.jpg

That sounds like he has been injured badly. Can you tell if there is any type of hole or scrape on his side? If this is the case I don't know what you could do excpet to hope for the best. IS there any fish or ornament that he might have been bit/attacked by or and ornament that has a sharp enough edge that might have punctured the stomach?

I agree. It seems like more of an injury than a disease. Melafix might help him heal a bit depending on how bad the injury is.

Well it looks like a bubble coming out of the side of him, and like I said, his poop was coming out of the middle of the bubble on his side yesterday! He's still eating and swimming around but with a big white bubble on his side.
I bought 3 dwarf gouramis a week ago and one of them has been bullying the other 2 who both have nips in their fins so I took him back to the store today - I wonder if he had a go at my guppy too?
