are mystery snail asexual. I would like to get one but if I get one and end up with a snail infestation.
No they are not, they need a m/f pair to reproduce. The clutches are very noticable.
ok thank you
although if i am not mistaken female mystery snails can hold sperm of a male up to 6 months like live bearing fish. i may be wrong but i think i read that somewhere. if you want to avoid lots of babies, like already sated the clutches of eggs are easily found usually laid around the rim of the aquarium and can be removed easily.
