Tanks all fresh and clean :)

It is Saturday morning and tank cleaning day. It is a big job scrubbing glass, sucking out the gravel crud, refilling, wiping down the glass and any water that dripped on the floor, the tank or the cabinet. At the end when it is all done, the tank looks great, the fish are happy and life is good for awhile. Isn't it great to see your fish swimming happily in their fresh clean water? Yup, I am weird, but I just love that.

Today, I might go to the LFS and see if they have any decent plants to add. Now that the snail population is down, I will be filling out the small tank again with some more plants. I get sort of excited about adding the plants, I just love how they look in the tank. Also, I might get one more Assassin to add, just in case. I don't want to repeat what happened last time. The snow is the only thing that might hold me back today.

Hi Inga,

I was wondering where you had gone... :) Sounds like you've been a busy lady but I agree with watching the fish swim happily in clean water.

I'm glad you got your snail issue under control. Good luck in your plant hunting.

Yes, I love that too! As soon as I can tear myself away from the laptop it's time to clean my tanks too. I did one tank last night to make today's job easier. Exciting life I lead, water changes on a Friday night, lol.

I hope you are able to get out and about today (snow, yuck) and find some plants. Pictures after planting, if you please. ;-)

Yep, I love that too! It is a lot of hard work but very rewarding in the end. I'll usually do my big tanks (the 125 and two 55's) on one day and the 20 long, 10 gallon and the 2 betta tanks the next day. Then you can sit back and relax and enjoy (until next week!). Get out there and reward yourself with a little fishy/plant shopping spree.
