What do you think of this video?
I saw this today in a store, and inquired about it to the guy who sets those tanks up. He set this one was put together 2 months ago and was "striving" well....at 2 months, I can only imagine what that means, nonetheless, could it be possible with a 2g tank that has the build in filtering, heating and pump set up like this- be possible? I can imagine it could be started with tank water from a much larger, well matured tank but would it be enough to keep the small frags and a few gobbies alive? (these little guys would have to be moved to a large tank down the road, but is it possible for something like this to work?
Still have no started my 75G because we are doing the move this coming fall now, so I dont want to start it up to then move it.
No idea on your questions but those are kinda neat little plants. Be a nice planted betta tank...or maybe shrimp...either way, I kinda like the design.
The local LFS which I do business with has 3 of these little tanks in place. One of them has been set up for about 3 years now and is doing wonderful. The key is to pick the right corals and keep only a single fish.
I suppose the real question isn't so much can it be done, but should it be done. In my opinion, with the right fish, I don't morally have a problem with these setups. There are many fish which rarely venture far from their little nook in the reef, and this same behavior is displayed in a 2 gallon as a 75 gallon tank.
Appreciate the time you took to answer the thread. What would you recommend attaching to my rock? (cured rock right).
