when my hermit crabs shed there outer skeleton should I remove the old skin or leave it in the tank to be eaten?

When mine do, and when my ginormous coral banded shrimp does, I leave it because it usually gets eaten by SOME one in the tank. When he molts its huge and its usually gone in less than a day.

I leave mine in, not done any harm. I spotted a bristleworm dragging the last one into a rock for a quick lunch.

leave it, will give them/other creature some calcium/iodine supplements.
