yikes theyre going crazy
Hi, I woke up this morning and my five zebra danios were all swimming around very fast in one corner of the tank, some of them looked like they were fighting...but is this the way zebras spawn? They looked like they were swimming around very frantically, not at all normal. It has been about 45 minutes now and they are still doing it.

Also, I've recently noticed some long strings of poop clinging to the fake plants in the I need to remove those or will they eventually dissolve on their own?

about the poo the fishes poo shouldn't be stringy that could mean it has internal problem.

If the feces is from plecos or ottos, that should be no problem.

Regarding the danios, they seem to like to chase each other allot, sort of like playing tag. As far as spawning, they are egg layers. I used to have them so I can't really be positive, becuase if they did lay eggs, I know my clown loaches or angels would more likely eat the eggs.

I also have 4 zebra danios and they are the most active in the tank! They are just awesome to watch let me tell ya. That is totally normal for zebra danios, like crazy eddie said its kinda like tag! There tails/fins may get a little nibbled on but thats just there nipping order... Oh and about the stringy poop try feeding them pea's to help the digestive system.

BTW Kevil, I didn't realize you had some ammonia/nitrIte levels. Please do some water changes to get them down.
