Real Coral or Plastic???

I would use plastic and some real.I think using some artificial coral makes alot ecological sense. The world's coral reefs are dying as we speak.

Not ever.

I have several dream tanks and I wouldn't bother myself using plastic. It attracts algae and detritus. They are good for small tanks with bad lighting.

My belief is that I am reducing my impact on the reefs by growing out frags and trading them with other responsible reefers. Owning and not sharing is a problem. Most everyone I know trades constantly.

I found one local to me through another forum that allows local clubs to host on their forum. Jeez wouldn't that be a great idea. Perhaps you could check with other local LFS. A lot of times, local retailers will sponsor the local clubs. There are actually a few that are pretty local to my area. I'm sure there are some out there in yours as well.

Say what? Is them fightin words? That just does not make sense. To say you are a naturalist is to say that you believe in captive propogation programs that build sustainable reefs and a sustainable hobby like that produced by organizations like MAC.

There is nothing natural about plastic.

BTW, I hope you know what you just said about bikes. You better be riding a WLA Harley. I ride a 1972 Norton Commando as my daily transportation, IE: I don't have a car/cage/coffin to drive. That my friend is dedication, the same type I put into my reef keeping. You already know that today's Harley and that past about 1970 are not true Harley's since they went bankrupt several times due to the English bikes outselling and out competing them. My Triumph Bonneville is what put Harley in the grave to be taken over by AFM, also known as the guys that make bowling pins. Doesn't Harley make a bike with a water cooled engine, designed by Porsche since Harley couldn't get it to work right? Nothing natural about that. All of my bikes are vintage, pre 1975 excluding one track bike. So as the name implies, cafe racer, correct.... But of the proper vintage not these new school johnny come lately's running around on stripped down crotch rockets of the "hooligan" genera.

only plastic coral i would ever use is maybe a coral that was to hard to keep ,like a carnation or maybe illegal to keep.but i might get a little embarassed having a fake one in my reef, plus it would be a pain to take out and clean all the time to keep it looking reel.

usmc121581 i did i search to find a club neer me by searching aquarium societies but did'nt find one in maryland.i'm not sure what part your from.but theres one in delaware www.dcas.us and a bunch in pa. lancaster county www.aclc.us philadelphia www.phillyfishclub.com one in delaware county two.good luck finding one close to you.
