need some advice to make my fish take look better
Tropic world - 10 gallon Freshwater fish tank
i just want to make my fish tank look better..
not look forward to spending money... just rearranging in a good manner. any tips.
Second, you're gonna have to move those goldfish soon.. They grow too big for the size tank you have..
Third, PLANTS! Fake or real, they will make a great addition to your tank.
Fourth, get schooling fish (tetras, danios, etc.) and one "stand out" fish. I have 7 neon tetras(red, blue, silver) and a male tequila sunrise guppy(orange, yellow, white) as well as the "interesting" fish, kuhli loaches.
Fifth, I think you have too many rocks.. Get rid of some and incorporate some fake plants into it if you don't want to take care of real ones.
Here's some pictures of my 10 Gallon
Agree with MJBN. You've got fish that are too big for the tank and too many rocks. Rehome the goldfish (good excuse to get a much bigger tank) and get a small school for the 10 gallon.
hello and welcome.
personally i would return the gold fish and ask them to give you
other fish in place of them,so you keep money payout to a minimum.
you could have a wonderfull looking tank for next to nothing.
if going tropical you'll need a heater, and they come quite cheap these days.
perhaps you could even get plant cuttings for free if you look around the free adds.
where are you situated ?
I'll post a pic on my TROPIC FISH tank so u could see.. i think it looks better.
btw.. are you supposed to fill the tank all the way up?
I don't think you have to fill it to the tip top but most do to decrease the noise of the filter splashing (those who have HOB filters anyway). And it looks better when it's full in my opinion.
Romad is correct about the filling the tank. and for craigslist.. make an account then just go to your area's page listing. Then look up "aquarium" "fish tank", etc. Stuff like that. I'm in the bay area, california and i'm seeing some pretty good deals. Like some 40G's with all accessories for $100. Just make sure that IF you sort out a deal with someone, do it in a public area like a mall parking lot, a plaza, etc. Although i have done house meetups.
