Apple Snails - just aestivating?

I have four apple snails (briggs, I think). I had some recent PH issues - tank would drop to 6.4 no matter how hard I tried to get the water to stay at 7. I gave up on buffer and raised the Ph slowly through water changes - it's now around 7.0-7.2. After one of the girls laid a clutch of eggs, both females went into what I think is aestivation. The males remained active for a few more days, then they joined the slumber party.

That was two weeks ago. They are definitely still alive, but today I saw this:

I'm not certain, but I think that is his genitalia hanging out!! Should I be worried that this is more than just nap time?

Sadly, this snail has passed on (bad smell and all that). The others are still doing well though.
