Hello all! Let me introduce myself, my name is Alex, and I live in Norman, Oklahoma. I've kept fish, both salt and fresh, for a number of years but sadly when I moved everything had to be sold.
So currently I have nothing but an empty 75 gallon tank that's begging me to fill it, but I promised the other half I'd wait until we got our own place. Perhaps I can talk him into filling that little ten gallon at the very least .
In addition to my mild fish obsession (ok, maybe not so "mild") I love reptiles, I have 7 different snakes, ranging from a cranky little Carpet Python to a sub adult female Hypo Boa.
Anyway, I bet you all like pictures here don't you? Don't we all love pictures. Figure I'll post a few of my old fishies that I used to have.
I was having a mild battle with some lovely algae at this point in time.
He's always been very photogenic
My snail murderer
My big boy, he's now living in a nice 125 gallon tank with some cichlids who are all terrified of him
I'm a sucker for Delta Tails
I guess I just like the difficult fish, he was just moved to a new tank hence his "stress marks"
I love Plecos, but the Gold Nuggets are definitely my favorite,
I actually bought this guy from ACE Hardware, go figure.
I'm also a sucker for catfish of any kind
Well those were some of my old kids. I miss them all dearly, but hey I can get some new ones when the time is right, in the meantime I'll just drool over all of yours'.
awsome..sounds like you will fit right in..is that a carpet python as the avatar..and a nice desjardini sailfin tang. i have been looking for a nice red dardanus hermit.and who doesnt like a little dragonet.nice pics..and welcome aboard..i know you will get some water in the tanks soon..get the 10 gallon cycled for when you make the move..oh and good to have another herp lover here..
No, definitely not, that would be my Purple Phase Albino Reticulated Python, Chaos.
Haha no fishies where I live, I think my landlord would kill me if I dare even think of filling up that ten gallon until I move.
sorry i couldnt tell ..a retic huh...you can have a retic and no fish ...never seen a albino reticulated before...how big is he ...does the sunlight still have that iredescent purple hue to the scales...looks legendary...thanks for the share..
This is what she looks like on a cloudy day:
But yeah she gets that "glow" to her out in the sun.
She's still just a baby, only around 4 feet.
He's afraid of water damage, snakes don't take a whole lot of water.
a fine specimin indeed ...you must be proud...
It's a shame you haven't got those fish any more. That snake is gorgeous, though. I hope you don't have to wait too long to move and get your tanks set up again. Welcome to the forum :-)
She is my pride and joy, her breeder has the darkest purples you can find.
I miss them all dearly =[ but I know they're at good homes, all my discus went to a good friend who has a fish rescue, my salties went to my ex, and the rest of the freshwater went to a nice guy.
Thanks, she's quite the looker, and she knows it.
Well I'm moving in February and I'm hoping we can find a place that will at least let me keep a 10 gallon, or a 29. Keeping my fingers crossed for that.
Hello and welcome lovely boa! Like the purple shine as badx mentioned! I have a few snakes my self (2) but not quite as beautiful as ur retic! Hope to see you around..
