Eww, eww, nasties in my tank!!!
Grosser than gross! I've got some kind of flukes or leeches or some sort in my tank. Out of all my 20 years with fish I've never seen anything like this in my tank. I recently bought some new guppies a couple of weeks ago from a breeder and I'm wondering if that's where they came from.
They are crawling along the glass and stretch out and pinch up with they move. They have a head that looks like an arrow head. What are these and how do I get rid of them? Will they hurt my fish? Last night I saw one for the first time and today I've counted 10 so far.

Planaria. Harmless and your fish will eat them.:) Limit food rations or improve tank maintenance.
Yup...planaria...don't know why you'd call them 'nasty'...
...I've always thought they were super-cute!

they're still nasty
I've never had these before and they are still nasty to me. Look and move too much like leeches. Then what are the tiny white worms that are free swimming and swim like sperm. I don't have those right now but I have in the past. I thought those were planaria.
...I'm not sure about the worms...I'd need a picture of those... :?
