Cory ID

First of all, I'm really sorry I don't have a picture. Hopefully I will borrow a camera shortly and get a photo uploaded.

I bought 2 cories today. They were in my local petstore and I hadn't seen them before so I decided to buy them.

They are whitish/gray and have a black line up along their backs. Initially I thoguht that they were Corydoras melini but they're not. The line up their back goes all the way to their head rather than going off at an angle and they have no black mark on their face.

I will try to beg borrow or steal a camera, however in the mean time, anyone any ideas what type of cory this is?

Thanks.

does it look like this

Nope.

It has no spots or speckles. I'm beginning to think they are both corydoras melani, even thoguh they don't really have a mark on their faces, it does look a bit darker on their faces and so it could just be that this colour will develop with age as they are both still small.

They are really similar, except the black line doesn't go over their faces - it stops at the back of their heads. Could it just be that they are young ones of this type?

Don't know tbh - never had them, just remember seeing a pic of them.

Only other suggestion I could think would be C. Rabauti - but your greyish description would indicate not.

Sorry - stumped! You need Coryologist.

Hi. It's oftentimes very difficult, even with a pic. Generally, impossible without one. - Frank

Ahh well.

I like them anyway - that's good enough for me. :D

Well, here he is:

Pictures aren't too bad, maybe somebody will be able to identify them now. Like I said earlier I thoguht he was corydoras melani but he doesn't seem to have the black mark on his face like these do.

Thanks.
