New Member Needing Some Help...
Hey Guys the name is Cody, just joined trying to learn some tips about my tank....looking forward to learning, was wondering if someone could tell me off hand an easy way to measure how big my tank is, got it as a Xmas gifts about 5 years back and cant remember size....I can post some pics if they will help....
Welcome to the forum. If you go to http://www.aqadvisor.com and put in the dimensions of your tank up the top and press the "update" button, it'll give you the volume of your tank.
thanks for the site, but how do i measure it if the front is round?
This is the site I use it is pretty accurate. Calculating Aquarium Volume - The First Tank Guide - How Can I Figure Out How Much Water My Fish Tank Holds?
well i thought it was like a 54 gal, but this is only saying its a 35gal....not really sure here are some pics i have might help....
Only got maybe 10 fish....was hoping to be able to add some more....
What fish species do you have in there, I thought i saw some sort of tetra and I can definitly see a goldfish.
no clue....just started really doin this...but i can tell ya all the fish came from walmart, only pet store around here for about 2.5 hours...
What does it measure? It's hard to get an idea from a photo. My 165-litre (about 43.5 US gallons) measures approx 38cm x 82cm at the edges (it's got a bow-front too, but I haven't taken that into account) and about 45cm deep. If yours is a bit less than that, then 35 gallons sounds about right....
I would guess it is a 36 gallon bowfront tank. You might want to read up on goldfish though. They have different temperature requirements than most tropical fish.
