Anyone know anything or have any experience of Pangasius sanitwongsei cf. Beani? They call it the Hi-fin Pangasius or the Paroon Shark....
what size tank you going to put him in?
they get big and i mean BIG
i had some, nice fish allways on the go, not a fisf that just lays there like some cats do (most i think LOL) mine ate what i gave them from flake to whole un-cooked king prawns, they are no probs with other fish that they can NOT fit in there mouths, they are eaters not fighters.
hear are mine
not the best of pics
just to add: mine was in a 5foot X 2foot X 2 foot tank and was only kept in there 4 about 12months as they got WAY 2 big.
I ain't gonna get any, just wondered how people cope with such giants! How big did yours get?
Like the Clarias :D
i gave mine up at aroun the 20inch mark
walking cats are ace
I used to have them in a 55 gallon tank. I had them maybe for about 2 years or so. They only got about 6". The only problems with them is they are very nervous fish and their eyesight seems poor. When they get scared, they bump into things very easily, so make sure you do not have any sharp objects in your tank.
that is very true, they swim blind when they flee.
there is loads of types of pangaseas (sp?)
and the way you keep them and feed them has a lot to do with the way they grow, i did a water change of at least 50% twice a week, also i fed them a bit to well, they would only take fresh types of food os i stuffed peaces of squid full with catfish pellets
people say thet TSC are fast growers but as i could not get mine to eat mutch i had him about a year and he sat at the 6inch mark and stayed there
tiger shovel nose

My lfs once had that catfish which cost 1000 pesos equivalent to US $20.00.:wink2:
I wonder who bought that dangerous fish.:dunno:
