java moss is practically fool proof- you can attach it to a rock or ornament and it will take hold in a few days, and live there happily. Java fern is also somewhat easy. if its a new tank, with no fish, you will need to supplement with a fertilizer, but once fish have been in there for a while, and the tank cycle is over, then the plants will no longer need fertilizer, since the fish waste will be enough of a natural fertilizer. make sure you have plenty of light- most plants need extra lighting.

Cryptocorynes are pretty indestructable as well and are fast growers. Aponos are pretty good too.

i would say any low light plant probably. i think the darker green the lower light. if you get into high light plants then comes a wave of fertilizers, more lighting, Co2 injectors and potentially algea if you get it wrong.
