what is on my snail!!
look close at the shell on the right side facing you and let me know what in the world this is on my snail LOL notived it last night and can not figure it out!!
No idea but it's pretty freaky looking. Alien IV auditions perhaps? Good luck trying to figure it out.
some one else said it may be a slipper shell... i looked them up and this seems to be the case they "according to research" appear to be peaceful critters that attached to the shells of others and cause no harm... i am hoping this is the case because if it hurts my favorite snail i am gonna be one angry guy!!!
I was hoping someone would tell you..you've got me wondering what it is. I did a search on slipper shell images and it looks so thin or flat to be one not unless this is how they start out but I don't know. Looks like a patch on a pair of pants. I am going to keep following this thread for sure.
Hopefully it's not harmful to your snail.
Hope whatever it is doesn't harm him!
I see those all the time down in the tide pools when the tide is low. They are plastered on the rocks, along with the mussels and snails. I have no idea what they are called and if they are harmful or not. :-?
looks like a limpit to me man. they come in all colors and paterns and are benificairy.another hitchhiker.
