New tank algea questions? (pics included)
 

Hi i was just wondering if someone would give me some feedback regarding my new living rock, i have had the tank running for about 10 days now and have noticed the rocks have an assortment of different things growing on them.

You can see the greens, browns, pruple/pink and a white hard film like growth. Is this normal?

Also i noticed that some parts of the sand (which is coral sand) had bits of brown on it rather than the crisp white it usually has.

I am currently running a 40 litre/ 10 gallon aquarium Aqua Qube, with cured living Fijian rock, it is fully cured and tested when purchased. I purchased the set up 10 days ago and have used pre mixed water by the aquarium shop. I have a protein skimmer running 24/7 and the light on about 12hours a day.

I have no critters or fish yet.. also comments on when you think it will be read to add some?

I would also like to know if anyone knows the names of the rocks just by looking?
